Recently, Swiss Mido launched a new Commander II series Icône watch (model: M031.631.33.061.00). The slim and round case is made of stainless steel and satin-finished, giving the commander a unique and easily recognizable silhouette, just like the Eiffel Tower. This unique structure, after years of baptism, will always remain young. The long life is a testament to the undisputed success: Swiss Mido has never stopped the production of the Commander series since 1959. To date, the Commander series has been in existence for almost 60 years and has retained the DNA that shaped its reputation. Like the Eiffel Tower, the Commander Collection has become a true icon, a symbol of Swiss watchmaking tradition and craftsmanship.

The new Commander II collection of Icône watches gives a perfect modern interpretation of the original model. Like the original watch, anyone will remain indifferent to its charming design. Connoisseurs of fearless and bold timepieces will also agree that this is a unique watch. The round stainless steel case is 42 mm in diameter, satin-finished and anthracite PVD-treated, with a polished faceted bezel. The anthracite dial is retouched with sunburst satin and embellished with orange numerals, which is a major visual feature of Swiss Mido. The generous and generous dial space is also a classic design that continues the original model of 1959. To ensure perfect night-time readability, the hour and minute hands are coated with white LumiNova® fluorescent material. The second hand is decorated with orange lacquer, which is particularly distinctive. The day and date display window is set at 3 o’clock on the dial. The satin-finished and anthracite PVD-treated stainless steel Milanese bracelet seamlessly connects to the case and can be easily adjusted with a sliding buckle to provide the wearer with unparalleled comfort.

In the look of the new retro design, the Commander II series Icône watch has a movement at the forefront of watchmaking innovation. This watch is equipped with Caliber80Si movement, which is a COSC-certified precision movement with a silicon hairspring. As an essential component of the luxury watchmaking industry, silicon hairsprings can provide better long-term accuracy than standard hairsprings, and have better resistance to magnetic fields and shocks. This latest generation movement provides a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Through the case back sapphire crystal, you can admire the blue steel screws provided by the movement, as well as the automatic oscillating weight decorated with the Geneva pattern and the Swiss Mido logo. The Commander II series Icône watch is water-resistant to 5 bar (about 50 meters).

In addition to the anthracite PVD style, Swiss Mido Commander II series Icône watches are also available in stainless steel and gold PVD styles. (Photo / text watch home Xu Chaoyang)
